HELLO POWER LACES 2.0
The future for power laces just keeps getting brighter first there was a working prototype of the power laces by Blake Bevin, then there was the patent filed by Nike for power laces and now Bevin is back again to show us Power Laces 2.0.
A huge improvement from the 1.0 version of the power laces, the main change is there is no longer a bulky motor hanging on the side and also the power laces are activated by pressing a sensor in the heel.
Currently Bevin is seeking funding to make these real.
THE FUTURE OF SCREEN TECHNOLOGY
This is what 2014 looks like for the guys over at The Astonishing Tribe, I damn near wet myself when I saw this. You’ve been warned.
The future is approaching fast and I cant wait to see this type of screen technology incorporated into our everyday lives so fluidly.
Screen technology is now taking the next leap and the coming years imagination is the only thing stopping us. We will soon have dual screens, malleable screens, screens built into wifi connected mirrors, desks or backside of gadgets clothed with e-ink screens, tactile feedback, colour screens with great contrast in sunlight, holographics/stereoscopic screens, colour e-ink touch screens, or screens actually knowing where they are in relation to other screens thanks to ultrasonic emitters and microphones.
ONE STEP CLOSER TO POWER LACES
Last month I posted a video of a power laces prototype, sure it was impressive but the major set back was the motor attached to the shoe to make it work, mind you I was still pretty excited at the fact that power lace could be real one day.
And then I saw this… a patent filed by Nike for power laces. I cant wait for these to be made, catch up technology!

Stumbled across this the other day and it absolutely blew my mind. We’re all familiar with searching for things in Google whether it be keywords and specific details, some of us have even searched using voice. But those methods are primitive compared to searching for results from a picture taken from your smart phone. The future is here.
Best part is that Google Goggles will be available for the iPhone later this year.
